Trauma and violence are widespread, harmful, and costly public health concerns, with no boundaries in regard to age, gender, socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. The need to address trauma is increasingly seen as an important role for the faith community, as it can play a role in healing and recovery. This workshop will provide an overview of trauma, its impact on youth, and how the church can build resilience.
