UYWI 2018

Using a youth development model, churches in Fresno partnered with Youth Leadership Institute and other non-profit agencies to work with elected officials to create policy change.  Through grassroots efforts, youth worked on issues that matter to them, such as the Dream Act, liquor and tobacco outlet inundation, saturation of negative advertising, and much more. This workshop demonstrates their methodology, action planning, and partnerships.
